Integration with Google Earth™

Lasserdata.com has exports for the Google Earth™ (Free) mapping system.

Once you download and install Googel Earth™, you will need to download Lasser_PLSS.kmz
This file will enable you to view the Lasser Public Land Survey System (sections, townships, ranges and Texas abstracts) in Google Earth™.  In the download process, select the option to “open with” Google Earth™.  This will load“Lasser PLSS” into your “Temporary Places” in the left navigation window in Google Earth™.  Right click on“Lasser PLSS” and then click “Save to My Places”.
  • To view Township/Range (six mile squares) you will need to zoom in below county level.
  • To view Sections/Abstracts (one mile squares) you will need to zoom in below township level.
  • To view PLSS quarters (one quarter mile squares) you will need to zoom in below section level.
  • The following samples can be downloaded for use within Google Earth™.  The following data files are copyrighted © by Lasser, Inc.  They are for individual evaluation only and may not be exported to any other application.
